Wages for Art(work), 2023 - present
wagesforart.com During the hours that the artist is working a job, participants are invited to book an hour-long session to ‘work’ alongside them. Participants can use that hour to make art, write, sleep, take a walk—anything that is creatively generative for them. Participants are then compensated for this time at the rate of $25 an hour, 50% of Quinlan’s hourly wage.

A short video where the artist works on their laptop while facing a creative participant drawing with a paint marker. They talk about the early concept for the Wages for Art(work) project, which aims to compensate people for creative time.
